The murder of Eastenders actress Sian Blake and her two children shook England for the last three weeks, leaving many skeptical of the ability of the police force, and now is facing trial in Ghana, where he was remanded.

An ex-cop claimed last night (According to the sun) that the delay in solving the crime was due to the lack of funds to pay officers their christmas over

Sian’s lover (Arthur Simpson-Kent) blocked police officers from entering the residence of Sian, a neighbour claimed.

According to reports, Simpson fled the next day.

The bodies of Sian, 43; Zachary eight; and Amon, four, were dug up by the police this week, leaving a 20 day gap,

which has resulted in a probe on the officers in charge.

“It is remarkable for the bodies of a missing mother and her children to be found at their home address three weeks after they are reported missing. It is the first place you would look.,” said ex-met detective Colin Sutton to the sun paper.

The high profile ex-detective added: “Fortunes had been earmarked in overtime payments to police the New Year’s Eve celebrations and all those bank holidays. The last thing the Met needed in the current financial situation was an expensive murder.”
