Most Expensive Streets Revealed

THE MOST EXPENSIVE streets in England and Wales have been revealed, the most expensive being £20m.

The streets ranged from Kensington Palace Cobham. Kensington Palace, in Central – Where Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman reportedly owns a property and the late Princess Diana lived has properties at £8m on average.

The most desired property is worth £20m. Only seven years ago, a flat was sold for 500,000 on Victoria Road, in the heart of Kensington.

A publication by Lyolds bank showed that Victoria Road (Home to the Vietnamese embassy) was at the top of the lists priciest streets.

The Road, home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has a total of 64 properties, a few which date right back to the 1840s. Right move are currently advertising a five-bedroom apartment £7.9m.

Victoria Road was known for its “artists by of high standing,” as noted in W.S Clarke’s book The Suburban homes of London (1881)– the shift from a pre-dominantly artists’ street to home to the upper echelons of society is reminiscent of the current gentrification process in East-London.

According to the property information website, Mouse price, the home in Kensington sold at a now bargain rate of £475,000 is now, likely, worth £1.7m.

Another home – reported as the most desired – was brought for £11.5m early 2010: According to Mouse price, this property is now worth just under £20m (£19,956,000).
