Chase Farm Hospital now has a new endoscopy unit worth £2 million.
The hospital aims to cut waiting times by having twice as many treatment rooms – also, new private recovery rooms that use a tracking system to monitor patients more closely are being serviced, being the first in the country to do so.
“I am delighted that we are opening this unit,” said Mr. D.Thorbourn, clinical director for liver transplant, hepatology, hepatobiliary. Pantreatic and gastroenterology.
“We will have more capacity, which means waiting times will be cut and… the [latest] technology will [provide] a more spacious and pleasant environment for our patients and staff”
