PETROL PRICES HAVE been reduced by supermarkets Asda and Morisson’s to below just £1 for unleaded petrol, the lowest rate since 2009.
“Today, for the first time in six years, we are moving unleaded prices down to below £1,” Said Morrison’s petrol Director Bryan Burger (according to the BBC website)
Morrison’s plans to keep petrol at this price £0.99.9 per liter “for as long as possible,” however this could change
Asda has also reduced their price of unleaded at £0.99.7 PL. But Asda has confirmed that this will remain as a limited offer over the weekend for the time being.
RAC made a prediction this week that petrol prices will fall below £1 after a high decrease in global petrol prices, after a steady decline in prices since 2009.
This change in prices will lift mean that the average family will save £9 if they buy unleaded petrol and £11 for Diesel users.
