A MAN HAS suffered serious injuries and taken into hospital as a “priority”, after he was pushed onto the train tracks at Kentish Town Underground station in London, last Wednesday morning.
British Transport Police announced they arrested a 29-year-old man from Colindale, London who is now in Police custody.
Detective Superintendent Gary Richardson said: “The man voluntarily attended a London Police station. He is currently in police custody helping officers with their enquiries.”
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11:44 am to Kentish Town Underground station to reports of a person hit by a train. We sent multiple resources to the scene, including a single responder in a car, an ambulance crew, our hazardous area response team and London’s Air Ambulance.”
He added: “We treated a man at the scene and took him as a priority to a hospital in central London with a doctor from the air ambulance on board.”
According to www.independent.co.uk, Verity Slattery saw the incident and said: “I feel physically sick. Someone has just been pushed under the train at Kentish Town Underground station.”
