General Consul: “Happy Teachers Day”

Emirhan Yorulmazlar.

THE TURKISH GENERAL CONSUL for England, Emirhan Yorulmazlar has issued a message for National Teachers Day this year which was on Tuesday earlier this week (24 November). Below is what he said:

“I want to say that our teachers are the people who shape the future of our young people, the give them confidence and dedication, they control our mother tongue and also help them grow into adults who go out into the community with culture and language they need.

As a result , I would like to express my congratulations to all the teachers right across the UK who work so hard to help their pupils and students learn and be good examples in the community and society we live in.

GCSE and A-Level lessons in Turkish are still in the curriculum at schools and the efforts and works for this to stay in place are continuing. In every part of England parents are valuing education and teachers too contribute greatly towards this, I also hope for teachers to help with the efforts in regards to Turkish being kept as a GCSE and A-Level lesson.

On this special day, I want to first wish a Happy Teachers Day to the late Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all the teachers in our community as well as the upcoming teachers of the future. I express my sincere gratitude to them all and wish them the warmest 24 November Teachers Day.”
