Englands’ Turkish World Forms New ‘Platform’

TURKISH WORLD COMMUNITY representatives and association representatives in England came together to form as one under a new platform called: ‘Turkish World Solidarity Platform’ ın Wımbledon, last Sunday.

The meeting held at Rosy Lea Café, in Wimbledon on Sunday evening saw people from various countries around the world representing the Turkish background come together. Businessman and activist Atilla Abacıoğlu organised the meeting where association representatives for Turkey came from all over the world. Countries included Azerbaijan, Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, Uighur, Crimean Tatar, Northern Iraq, Western Thracia, Uzbekistan and of course Turkey. They announced that they had formed the platform with the slogan: ‘Unity in language, opinion and work’. Atilla Abacıoğlu, who spoke at the meeting said: “We are in an effort to widen and promote the whole world nations social, cultural, national and moral values, to protect them and show how important it is in todays world to unite in opinion and thought.”.

The platform has been formed by various union representatives who are from different Turkish backgrounds and live in England. They are as follows: Head of the Platform- Atilla Abacıoğlu, Sündüs Sagi (Kuzey Iraq), Melek Maksudoğlu, Caner Mülayim (Kırım), Fatosh Gulsah (TRNC) Yoldush Juraboev (Uzbekistan) Ülviyye Akif (Azerbaijan) Rahima Mahmut (Eastern Turkistan), Rıdvan Hacıbedel (West Trakya) ve Özlem Acı (Turkey)

Rosy Lea Café also served complimentary stir-fry made from sacrificed meat and dessert to those who attended the meeting. Head of the new platform Atilla Abacıoğlu thanked all those who attended the meeting and gave their support. He also said he will give information on what the platform is to provide and take part in at another meeting in the upcoming weeks.
