KURBAN BAYRAMI (EID) which is celebrated by Muslims all over the world, was also celebrated at the Turkish and TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) representative buildings in London.
TRNC representative for London Oya Tuncalı hosted a celebratory Eid reception at the representation office in Bedford Square, Central London open to the public. The reception was held with a warm and pleasant atmosphere and had several important guests attend among members of the general public. These included: Turkish Consul General Emirhan Yorulmazlar, some counsellors from the London Turkısh Embassy, diplomats from the TRNC and several representatives from the communities civil unions and associations.
Oya Tuncalı explained just how pleased she was at the interest and attention the reception received and that from now on these receptions would become a cultural tradition at the time of Eid every year. Oya Tuncalı and her husband İhsan Tuncalı greeted arriving guests at the receptions entrance, followed by offereing of dishes from the Turkish Cypriot kitchen.
