Politicians and business leaders at Alevi careers event

 Britanya Alevi Gençlik Federasyonu logoBritain’s Alevi Federation is to hold a careers event to help young people in the community find work.

The event, which will take place at the Alevi Cultural Centre between 11am and 5pm this coming Sunday, 19 April. It will feature motivational talks, workshops and advice on which path to pick for the future.

Politicians, academics and successful business leaders are among the people expected to talk at the event, which is being supported by Citibank and Ryanair, as well as the Ersan& Co law firm, the Matbaa printing press, Advantage Solicitors, Tad Restaurant, the National Careers Service and Citizens UK.

Organisers Esin Güneş, Uğur Boran, Elif Bulut and Erbil Erbil said: “Many families are unable to offer their children guidance on education and career paths because of the language barrier. This creates a serious vacuum.”

Kate Osamor, the Labour party candidate for Edmonton, will be among the speakers during the day.

The Alevi Cultural Centre is based at 89 Ridley Road, Dalston, E8 2NH.
