The 110th anniversary of the March 18 Victory at Canakkale (Gallipoli) and Martyrs’ Day, was commemorated with a ceremony at the Turkish Naval Cemetery in Portsmouth.
A memorial event was held in Portsmouth, UK, to honor the heroes of the Çanakkale (Gallipoli) Campaign. During the ceremony at the Turkish Naval Cemetery, a moment of silence was observed, and prayers were offered for the fallen soldiers.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Turkish Ambassor to London Osman Koray Ertas, delegates from the Turkish Consulate, TRNC London Representative Çimen Keskin, and members of the Turkish community in the UK. Attendees laid carnations on the graves of the martyrs, paying tribute to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all the brave soldiers who fought in the Çanakkale Campaign.
