Young piano prodigy Ceylin Ada Arısan has secured second place at the 12th International London Chopin Competition, impressing the jury with her captivating performance. In addition to this prestigious achievement, she was honoured with a special award by Lady Rose, President of the London Chopin Society.
A Musical Journey That Began at an Early Age
Born in 2012 in Ankara, Turkey, Ceylin discovered her passion for music at a young age. Encouraged by her father, Koray Arısan, she began piano training at the age of four. Under the mentorship of State Opera and Ballet artist Umut Yaşar, she nurtured her extraordinary talent.
In 2018, she was awarded a scholarship to study at Bilkent University’s Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, where she continued to refine her skills.
In 2019, she became the youngest participant in Prof. Gülnara Aziz’s masterclass at Mozarthaus Art and Concert Hall. In 2020, she studied Baroque music with the renowned pianist İklim Tamkan.
In 2023, she reached a major milestone by securing a scholarship to study at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in England.
Ceylin continues her piano training under Prof. Anait Tchaouchian, explores Baroque music with Prof. Carole Cerasi, and hones her chamber music skills with Prof. David Dolan.
With a vision of performing on global stages, she is preparing for the International Chopin Competition in London in 2025 saying “I dream of becoming a world-renowned concert pianist and touching people’s hearts through my music. The moment when my fingers dance on the keys under the stage lights, creating a magical soundscape, is what I live for.”
