British Turkish Cypriot Professionals Gather for Annual Event

The British Turkish Cypriot Professionals (BTCP) group held their annual networking event at Sopers House in North London, attracting significant attention from young Turkish Cypriot professionals living in the UK. The event, aimed at fostering connections among the Turkish Cypriot community, was well-received.

BTCP, which has rapidly grown in popularity, recognized the importance of bringing together young professionals within the community, especially considering the 500,000-strong Turkish and TRNC population in Britain. Ceyhun Sesigüzel, who gave the opening speech, provided insights into BTCP’s past events and upcoming projects. He emphasized the importance of such gatherings in strengthening the bonds of the Turkish Cypriot community and filling the gap in professional networking within the diaspora.

During the event, BTCP also announced plans for a major upcoming event, featuring notable speakers such as Turkey’s Ambassador to London Osman Koray Ertaş, TRNC London Representative Çimen Keskin, Melis Cook, and Cemal Ezel OBE and the founder of Change Please. This event aims to make a significant contribution to the community.

BTCP, established in March 2018 and led by President Eda Ayyıldız, includes board members Fatma Hüseyin, Hilmi Osman, Ceyhun Sesigüzel, and Emre Gürler. The organization has become a key player in bringing together Turkish Cypriot professionals in Britain.
