Operating under TFC Holdings, alongside brands such as Tees, N, and Joy, the company is setting out with a younger, dynamic team. Altınay emphasized their goal of elevating service quality through digital transformation and a new delivery vehicle fleet.
Located in Enfield with two separate sites, Star Catering has invested in a new fleet of delivery vehicles, including MAN TGL 12-ton trucks and Isuzu 7.5-ton trucks equipped with multi-temperature-controlled refrigerated compartments. This is to ensures that 1,500 high-quality food products reach customers under optimal conditions. The vehicles are designed to comply with Europe’s latest regulations and London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) standards, ensuring that deliveries are both efficient and environmentally friendly.
Additionally, the company has adopted Maxoptra, a cutting-edge system for route optimization and fleet management. Maxoptra dynamically optimizes delivery routes by considering traffic, roadworks, vehicle capacity, and real-time order volumes, which helps reduce unnecessary mileage. Customers are kept informed through email and SMS notifications with estimated arrival times, and they can track their orders via a Web Widget. Maxoptra’s electronic proof of delivery (ePOD) functionality allows drivers to easily capture signatures, photos, and comments as delivery proof.
Fleet Trak, managing over 12,500 vehicles across 400 clients, helps Star Catering provide nationwide coverage with rapid response times through a broad network of engineers, ensuring full traceability and enhanced order tracking for their customers.
Star Catering Supplies Ltd has transitioned to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system with consultancy support from Pargesoft, aiming to enhance service quality and prepare for future growth. With over 30 years of experience in the UK market and offering more than 1,500 product varieties, the company is a key player in the catering sector. This transition is part of their digital transformation initiative, enabling them to take advantage of technological innovations to optimize their services.
