The Ballon d’Or winner was greeted at the Ercan airport by a crowd of fans on Thursday 5 September.
Ronaldinho was the guest of honour at the International Summit Awards event, organised by the public relations company, by Turkish media group Pars International, landed in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus on Thursday ahead of the award ceremony, where he was gift flower from fans.
The event featured performances by Turkish singer Gülben Ergen and Belarusian-born singer Olga Napoli.
A number of awards where given out on Sunday 8th September for Sports and Arts.
Ronaldinho was present with his awards, as well as special made cake in the shape of a football and football boot with his number.
The 44 years old, Ronaldinho is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, winning the Fifa World Cup in 2002 and the Uefa Champions League in 2006, among a litany of other trophies for the Brazilian national team, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and other clubs.
