Rober Enes Tan, a secondary school student from Diyarbakır, won second place in the Teen Eagle Global competition, which was held in London. 4,600 students from 52 countries participated. Rober achieved great success with his superior performance in the competition.
Rober started learning English with the dream of going to Disneyland. Improving his language skills by reading English books and watching movies with the support of his mother, expanded his vocabulary by regularly reading stories from an early age. He achieved international success by receiving a B2 level certificate from the Cambridge PET exam in his third year.
Rober, who very much wanted to participate in this year’s Teen Eagle competition, showed great success in the two-stage competition. He came first in the world in the Spelling Bee competition in the “Receptive Skills” section, and came second in the world in the Knowledge Quiz. In the “Productive Skills” section, he competed in the Writing Challenge and Persuasive Speaking categories. Tan, who came second in the world in the overall rankings of the competition, won one gold and one silver medal and three trophies.
Stated that the competition was quite challenging, but he achieved this success thanks to his regular practice and wide vocabulary. Rober said, “I am both very happy and very proud,” and made Diyarbakır proud with his success.
