The Association of European Turkish Brands (ATMB) continues its business development contacts with the Turkic States. In this context, ATMB President Vehbi Keleş and Secretary General Mustafa Köker visited Uzbekistan.
Keleş and Doğan Başaran, President of the Turkish World Agricultural Union, made a trade trip to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on 10-13 August 2024.
Within the scope of the visit, the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, the President of International Relations of the Chamber of Commerce Gaparov Isfandiyorbek Abdukadirovich, the President of the Uzbekistan-Turkey Businessmen Association Davut Azmi Erbaş and the Members of the Board of Directors, the Undersecretary of the Turkish Embassy in Tashkent Şule Gültek and the Agricultural Counselor Burhan Demirok were met.
The visit was organized within the scope of increasing the export potential of Turkish food companies and deepening cooperation through bilateral meetings.
The trip, which aims to create opportunities to establish solid business relations between Turkish brands, expand export channels and pave the way for new collaborations, aims to establish new trade bridges between the Turkic states and the Turkish companies in United Kingdom and European countries.
Uzbekistan Minister of Agriculture Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov expressed his satisfaction with the visit and said, “We would be pleased if you shared your experiences. We are open to every offer. “Whatever issues we can progress on, we would like to continue communication by focusing on these,” he said.
During this trade tour in Tashkent, the Headquarters of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is affiliated with the Presidency of Uzbekistan and has 450,000 members, was also visited. During this visit, it was agreed to strengthen the connections of companies.
At the dinner, association president and Apeas General Manager Davut Azmi Erbaş, Turkey’s Tashkent Agricultural Counselor Burhan Demirok, Commercial Counselor Suavi Önalp, Coca-Cola CCI Uzbekistan General Manager Ezel Ağaoğlu, Nobel İlaç Uzbekistan General Manager Kürşat Cenk Çetin, Apeas Engineering Chairman of the Board Yusuf. Kamil Taymaz, Havaş Board member Erol Ceyhan, Emrah Çeliker from Çeliker Group and Ecowellness General Manager İhsan Kurt, as well as many business people, were also present.
