Altan Gültekin’s funeral held in London

On Monday 6^th August  family, friends, and community members came together to bid farewell to Altan Gültekin.

The funeral ceremony took place at at 10 a.m. at Palmers Green Mosque,  shortly after he was taken to Cheshut Cementry where he was laid to rest.

Gültekin was the co-founder and former partner of Star Catering operating in England. Originally from Baf, Cyprus, Gültekin had been living in London for many years with his family.

News of his passing was shared two weeks ago, the 76 year-old fell ill while on a vacation in Turkey, where he was visiting on a Black Sea tour.

He was admitted to Başkent University Hospital in Ankara and had been under treatment by sadly passed away.

He leaves behind his wife and two daughters and grandchildren, Gültekin was known within the Turkish speaking community in England for his philanthropy and patriotism.
