With just over two left until the ‘7th Turkish Cypriot Cultural Festival’, organized to promote Turkish Cypriot culture and ensure new generations stay connected to their traditions, London is abuzz with anticipation.

Organized by the Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations (CTCA) UK, which has twenty members, the festival will take place on Sunday, June 30th at 11:00 AM in Enfield, Donkey Lane. The event will feature performances by renowned pop singer Eylem, the legendary Cypriot rock band S.O.S., and surprise artists. Additionally, Grup Ayna will join the festivities, promising a vibrant atmosphere.

The festival will showcase folkloric and traditional dances performed by school students. This annual event, which attracts thousands of visitors each year, will also be attended by the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, and TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.

In a statement about the festival, CTCA President Kenan Nafi said, “The Cypriot Turkish Culture Festival, organized by the Council since 2017 and now a tradition in North London, will be held on Sunday, June 30th in Enfield, Donkey Lane.”

The festival committee is in full preparation mode. Alongside performances by Grup Ayna, Eylem, and Grup S.O.S., many other artists and DJs will participate. The festival will offer a variety of delicious traditional foods, traditional crafts, folklore, national, religious, and cultural values, creating unforgettable memories for both local and foreign guests.

Nafi emphasized, “The Cypriot Turkish Culture Festival not only celebrates our cultural heritage but also strengthens the sense of unity and solidarity within the Cypriot Turkish community in the UK. If you want to join this culture-filled festival, you can purchase your tickets from council associations and schools or online.”

To reach a broader audience, the festival’s advertisements are being showcased on London’s iconic red buses, ensuring maximum visibility and excitement.

This festival promises to be a celebration of traditional music, dance, food, and art, and it’s set to bring together the Cypriot Turkish community in a vibrant display of culture and unity.

Entrance tickets to the festival are £5.00, and children under 10 can enter for free. Guests wishing to purchase tickets can contact the following ticket sales points. Additionally, tickets can be obtained online from the Eventbrite website if desired.
