Day-Mer, one of the leading civil society organizations in the UK, addressed the issues of ‘Situation in the World and Britain, Needs and Problems of Turkish and Kurdish Women, Evaluation of Day-Mer Women’s Work, and Future Period Works’ at the Women’s Conference held on Saturday, March 2nd.
The meeting discussed the problems that women face globally, especially in Britain. The challenges, needs, and solutions of Turkish and Kurdish women were the main agenda items of the conference. Additionally, the evaluation of Day-Mer’s women’s work and the future works were also significant topics at the conference.
At the end of the conference, a new 9-member Women’s Commission was selected from among the 30 participants. The Women’s Commission will begin its duty with the aim of directing Day-Mer’s women’s work more effectively and responding to the needs of women more efficiently in the coming period.
The Day-Mer Women’s Conference, aiming to amplify the voices of Turkish and Kurdish women, finding solutions to problems, and strengthen social solidarity, provided participants with an important platform. The newly elected Women’s Commission aims to play a significant role in advancing Day-Mer’s women’s work further in line with these goals.
