18 March Martyrs’ Day Ceremony to be held at Brookwood Cemetery

The 18 March Martyrs’ Day Ceremony organized by the Turkish Embassy in London to celebrate the anniversary of the Çanakkale Naval Victory and commemorate our beloved martyrs will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Brookwood Turkish Air Martyrs’ Cemetery (Cemetery Pales, Brookwood, Surrey, GU24 0BL). 

This ceremony has a greater meaning and importance in the 109th anniversary of the Gallipoli Wars, which had very important consequences for Turkish and World History.

The Turkish Associations Federation of England (ITDF) has rented a bus for our citizens for this ceremony, in a statement they said “We will commemorate our great leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, along with our heroic martyrs who wrote an epic in Çanakkale, as well as all our dear martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their homeland. Any of the participants No fee will be charged. Our citizens who want to go by the Federation’s bus are kindly requested to register by sending a message to 07506 659 729.”

The ITDF Bus will depart from Haringey Council Civic Centre (High Road, Wood Green, London N22 8LE) on Monday 18 March at 08:15. The program at Brookwood Turkish Air Cemetery will start at 11:00. The bus will depart for London after the ceremony has finished.
