The Turkish Women’s Philanthropic Association (TWPA) hosted a delightful bulgur köfte competition among its members on Sunday, February 25, at its headquarters in the Wood Green.
The colourful event aimed to bring a friend completion to find out which member could make the best bulgur köfte, a staple in Cypriot cuisine.
Talented participants presented their carefully prepared bulgur köfte to the jury, creating exciting moments during the competition. Dudu Derviş emerged as the winner of the competition.
In a statement by TWPA, they expressed gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported the “Best Bulgur Köfte 2024” cooking competition, saying, “We had a fantastic day filled with delightful memories. Congratulations to all our participants, and thank you to everyone who supported us!”
Following this successful event, TWPA is gearing up for the next cooking competition. Registrations have already begun for the “Stuffed Grape Leaves (Yaprak Yalancı Dolma)” competition, set to take place in April. The members of the association are eagerly anticipating which chef will be crowned the “Dolma Queen” among them.
