King Charles leaves London following visit from Duke of Sussex

The King has been seen in public for the first time since yesterday’s announcement that he is undergoing treatment for cancer.

Both he and the Queen were driven in through the gates of Buckingham Palace earlier before they boarded a helicopter, which has been reported to have landed in Sandringham.

The royals waved to crowds as they left Clarence House.

It comes after a visit for the King’s son Prince Harry who arrived in the UK after travelling from the US to see his father.

He appears to have pulled up at Clarence House, the London home of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Two black SUVs, which were seen leaving Heathrow Airport’s VIP Windsor Suite earlier this afternoon, were pictured arriving at the royal residence, the PA news agency reports.

Other media are publishing a photo that appears to show the Duke of Sussex arriving in one of the cars.

Shorty after his arrival the King and Queen where pictured making the short journey to Buckingham Palace.

The unknown form of cancer was found in its early stages during his recent hospital stay for a procedure on an enlarged prostate.

He has postponed all public engagements while he undergoes regular treatment, with other members of the royal family expected to take on extra work.

This morning The King’s Princess Beatrice was photographed leaving the royal residence in a Range Rover with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
