Dr. Fazıl Küçük and Rauf R. Denktaş commemorated in London with a special Mevlid-i Sharif organized by the Limasollular Association UK and the North London Turkish Islamic Foundation at the Shacklewell Lane Mosque.
The event, which took place on the evening of January 11th, Thursday, also included a Mevlid-i Sharif, coinciding with the Regaip Kandil, performed by the scholars Hüseyin Hashim Elbakai and Mühiddin Aydın.
Following the Mevlid-i Sharif, the President of the Limasollular Association, Arife Retvan expressed her wishes for unity, togetherness, and peace, stating that special remembrances were made for the leaders Dr. Fazıl Küçük and Av. Rauf R. Denktaş, as well as the martyrs who gave their lives in the struggle.
Tevfik Zekai, the President of the North London Turkish Islamic Foundation, thanked the participants, emphasizing that commemorating the leaders is a duty. Subsequently, Council President Kenan Nafi expressed gratitude to the Limasollular Association for their efforts in remembering and praying for the leaders.
