Atatürk World Platform (AWP) held its Annual General Meeting in London. The platform which has acquired legal personality in Germany, announced that it will continue its activities and work abroad without interruption despite the challenging conditions in Turkey and the world during the 2nd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting held in London, hosted by the Atatürk Society UK.
The representatives of ASUK member associations who attended the meeting stated that they are determined to introduce children and young people worldwide, in collaboration with other Atatürkist associations around the world. They expressed their commitment to establishing a youth committee within the ADDP soon for solidarity and knowledge exchange among young people living abroad to achieve this goal.
During the meeting, there was a focus not only on elections but also on being a gathering where new and lasting ideas are produced in line with Atatürkist thought. Issues such as the emphasis on “nature” education rather than scientific education in Turkey and the problems of judicial institutions that oppose the decisions of the Constitutional Court
The 100th anniversary of the Republic dinner, held after the General Assembly Meeting, was attended by the President of the Turkish Law Women Association, Atty. Süreyya Turan was also invited. Participating and supporting ASUK online program as a speaker, Mr. Turan was thanked for his participation in London.
