On November 25th, the Mayor of Haringey Lester Buxton participated in a special event organized by the TWPA Association. As part of this event, various workshops were held to support children and enhance their learning by combining Autism Music Therapy and STEM education.
Mayor Buxton spent 2 hours engaging with children, chatting, and participating in activities such as music and painting. The event was both enjoyable and instructive for the children.
Autism music therapy and STEM education make significant contributions to children’s development, supporting their learning processes and boosting their self-confidence. This event provided an opportunity for children to enjoy a fun and educational day by engaging with art and music.
TWPA President Seyyare Beyzade made the following statement: “On Saturday, we were honoured to host Mayor Lester Buxton. He participated in our Music Therapy Workshop for autistic youth. Mayor Buxton demonstrated a fantastic performance by interacting with children and youth, playing instruments, and engaging in art activities. He became an inspirational young role model for the children, making their time enjoyable. He made them feel special, and I am sure this day will be a memorable moment for years to come. We sincerely thank Mayor Lester Buxton for taking the time from his busy schedule to join our workshop.”
