‘Music From Home’ celebrating London’s diversity and unity

AIMING to bring together different cultures and origins of London, the society organization Öykütna is organizing a free music event called “Music From Home” on Thursday, August 10th.

The event, which will take place at St James’s Church Piccadilly, will be filled with performances by various artists and will run from 7 to 9 pm.

Suna Alan, Peyman Heydarian, Saife Alnaffkh, Sulaiman Haqpana and Cenk Şanlıoğlu, five musicians from Kurdistan, Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan, will take the stage. Inspired by their own cultural heritage, these artists will present their music to London’s diverse community. The performances of musicians from different origins will give the participants an unforgettable musical experience.

The event aims to bring local communities together and interact together. Participants will be introduced to the music and personal stories of the artists, increasing their understanding of different cultures and exploring each other’s worlds.

Sponsored by the City of Westminster, this event aims to build strong ties between communities and encourage civic engagement in a multicultural London. Music From Home aims to bring out the strong voice of local people by offering participants a colourful and multicultural experience.

Attracting the attention of both music lovers and those who want to explore cultural diversity, Music From Home will take place on Thursday, 10 August at St James’s Church Piccadilly to celebrate London’s diversity together.
