Turkish Vice President visited West London Turkish Volunteers Association

Fuat Oktay and his wife Hümeyra Oktay visited the West London Turkish Volunteers Association in the UK ahead of the coronation of King Charles III which they attended on Saturday 6 May.

Oktay said that the works and prayers made in the association, where King Charles III also examined the aid works carried out after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, was closely felt in Turkey, and received information about the Turkish education, cultural activities and activities of the association.

Stating that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has built a bridge from heart to heart with Turkish citizens worldwide, Oktay said, “Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the place where all the arrows are pointing at the moment. This has always been the case. It was said before for Adnan Menderes, then for Turgut Özal, then for Necmettin Erbakan, now it is said for Erdoğan, but the target of these arrows is Turkey.” he said.

Emphasizing that Turkey always looks ahead with its potential, Oktay said, “When that happens, some people get uncomfortable. For the first time, Türkiye chose another path with our President. He preferred this: ‘I will not make a decision in the interests of another country. I will act according to the interests of my own nation.’ As such, those who have plans in the region against Turkey and Erdogan began to feel uneasy.” used the phrases.

Noting that Turkey has reached another point in tourism, infrastructure and logistics, Oktay said that the country has also made progress in automobile, informatics, automation and electronics.
