THE Network of Turkish Cypriot Organisations (NOTCO) launched a new project helping called Make a Child Happy.
In a statement, they said “We realized our Make a Child Happy project, which we organized for the first time this year, with the event held at the TRNCPresidential Palace on Thursday, April 19th. Before the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, World Autism Awareness Month and Eid, children with normal development and a total of 94 children with special needs came together. National Education, sponsored by the Cyprus Turkish Associations Coordination Committee (NOTCO)
“In cooperation with the TRNC Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Interactive Drama Association, drama workshops and events called “Hand in Hand on April 23” were held at the Presidency with the organization of Sibel Tatar. School bags, stationery and gift certificates prepared by NOTCO were distributed to the children participating in the event.”
Adding “…We would like to express our endless thanks to one of our member associations, Chasing Rainbows officials, to the volunteer staff of the “Make a Child Happy” project coordination committee, to our people living in England, and to our associations that supported the project operating in England, for their moral and material support to bring this project to life.”
Attending the event in North Cyprus NOTCO President Osman Ercen, General Secretary Naime Kale, Financial Secretary Kemal Bossel and member association trustee Sheniz Ormanji.
