Let’s Talk IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) offers free and confidential talking therapies to people aged 16 and over.
The service is offered in a number of languages including Turkish, recognised that many members of the Turkish Speaking communities in London have been affected by the earthquakes in Turkey which have effected many of their home towns, family and friends.
Therapy can take place over the phone, face-to-face or online in English, Turkish, Greek, Farsi, Polish and other languages and interpreters are available on request.
People can refer themselves to us directly by visiting us online at lets-talk-iapt.nhs.uk. GPs, nurses and other health and social care professionals can also refer to the service. If you are referring someone else, the patient must be aware of and in agreement with the referral.
The service aims to help with a range of common mental health problems including low mood and all anxiety disorders. Looking to help those who are experiencing symptoms such as: low mood, sleeping problems, stress, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, panic, agoraphobia, specific phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder and health anxiety.
Enfield’s Let’s Talk IAPT therapies have also walked the length of Green Lanes to raise money for the DEC Turkey and d Syria Earthquake appeal, in a show of unity and support to those affected.
