A concert will be held at the Royal Academy of Music where young virtuosos will take the stage. The concert, which will take place on the evening of March 27, will begin at 7:30pm at the Royal Academy of Music – Duke’s Hall.
The repertoire of the concert, where we will witness the meeting of so many young virtuosos for the first time, will also include works by composers such as Ahmed Adnan Saygun and Fazıl Say. The concert also has features that can rarely be caught with the first presentations of our anonymous folk songs with jazz harmony, together with the works specially composed for the earthquake.
Along with this success in international competitions, violinist Ezo Sarıcı, who is well-known to music lovers in London for her concerts for the benefit of the hospital, will also meet music lovers for the first time with string instruments and jazz ensemble arrangements of our anonymous folk songs “On the Road to Gaziantep” and Yemen Folk Song, referring to our losses in the earthquake region and war.
Ezo will also interpret the work of Deniz Cengiz, who continues his piano education in Germany, and Ahmed Adnan Saygun, called “Demet Suite for violin and piano op.33”, which evokes Anatolian laments.
