THE Princess of Wales wore a chic skirt suit set for the Commonwealth Day service in Westminster Abbey, London on Monday 13 March.
The navy ensemble had white flowers printed all over and was made up of a peplum blazer with delicate chain detailing on the bodice, and a midi-length skirt.
The set comes from Erdem, a London-based brand helmed by Turkish designer Erdem Moralioglu, who hails from Canada for the Commonwealth event.
The Flared Ottoman Jacquard Midi Skirt is priced as costing £1,434 on the Moda Operandi website, and the Ottoman Jacquard Peplum Jacket is £2,154 – both come from the pre-fall 2023 collection and are listed as sold out and her image across the front pages.
Erdem Moralıoğlu’s collections are always steeped in history and tradition (and often royal traditions), which has made them an obvious choice for Kate throughout her time as a royal.
The Princess has worn Erdem for royal tours and gala dinners in the past, and today wore a navy blue jacquard-print skirt suit, featuring a striking silhouette thanks to the darted waist of the jacket leading to a pleated peplum and flared skirt.
As is often the case with Erdem’s designs, the look has an elegant feel to it—with his pre-fall collection being inspired by the wallpapers and upholsteries of Victorian houses.
