Community members commemorated earthquake victims

AFTER the earthquakes affected Turkey and Syria, two separate commemorations were held in London by the Democratic Forces Union and the Enfield Alevi Cultural Centre in solidarity with the earthquake victims and to commemorate those who lost their lives.

On Sunday, February 19, a ceremony was held in Trafalgar Square by the Democratic Force Union candles were lit and posters were held for those lost in the earthquakes. Posters with slogans calling out ‘corruption’ for the deaths of thousands of lives, saying it’s “not an earthquake”.

The Enfield Alevi Cultural Centre held a commemoration ceremony on the grass field outstanding the headquarters in north London, candle lanterns were lit in commemoration events for those who lost their lives in the earthquake.

After the earthquakes that affected Turkey and Syria, commemoration ceremonies were held in London to commemorate the victims of the earthquake and to commemorate those who lost their lives.

The Alevi Cultural Centre and Cemevi England announced that they will hold a commemoration ceremony on Thursday, February 23, at 18:30 in their building in Wood Green.
