The Turkish Woman Philanthropic Association (TWPA) held its annual general meeting (AGM), which was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, on Sunday 30 October at their headquarters in Turnpike Lane, north London.
Starting the AGM with a minute’s silence and the Turkish National Anthem, outgoing President Semahat Mustafa presented the Annual Report and Treasurer Hülya Değirmencioğlu Financial Report and was acquitted.
Mustafa served as president for two terms and thanked the members present at the meeting for their support during this time.
Seyyare Beyzade was elected as the 20th President of the TWPA for the 2022-2024 term.
Members of the board of directors for the new terms are made up of Hülya Değirmencioğlu, Havva Beyzade, Nurgül Aktekin, İnci Şevki, Nazan Mustafa, Fatoş Cahit, Hülya Derviş and Duygu Halil.
The disciplinary members are also known as the ‘Court of Honor’ and consist of Semahat Mustafa, Ayşe Osman, Ayşe Doğan and Dudu Derviş.
