43-year-old DJ Koray Alpergin was laid to rest on Monday (31 October) surrounded by family and friends.
The funeral prayer was held at Palmers Green Mosque at noon, following the ceremony the burial took place at Lavender Hill Cemetery, where Alpergin was laid to rest.
The tragic news of his passing shocked community members.
The founder of Turkish radio station Bizim FM and father of two’s body was found on 15 October in a wooded area near Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate in Loughton, Essex.
Erdoğan Ulçay (55) Ali Kavak (25) and a 17-year-old have been charged with his murder and the kidnap of a 33-year-old Gozde Dalbudak Alpergin girlfriend who was later located by police unharmed.
A plea hearing on January 6, with a provisional trial date set for September next year.
Prosecutor Nicholas Hearn said: “They were attacked by individuals wearing white masks and bundled into a van and taken to a location and held there against their will.
“Mr Alpergin was badly beaten and murdered. On Saturday 15 October, two days later, Mr Alpergin’s body was found by members of the public in a woodland area in Loughton, Essex.
“The body was naked and had sustained burns, bruises and cuts.”
Adding a “preliminary report concluded strangulation, blunt forced trauma and damage to the internal organs and ribs.”
