Detectives investigating the death of Koray Alpergin have charged three men with murder.
The Turkish DJ and owner of Bizim FM’s body was found near to Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate in Loughton at around 11.55 am on Saturday, 15 October by officers from Essex Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police had received the report at 1.51 pm on Friday, 14 October, that Koray and a woman were missing from an address in Ebony Crescent, Enfield and had not been seen since the night before. They were known to each other.
Following a number of enquiries the Met took primacy of the investigation as officers had been working to locate Koray and a 33-year-old woman prior to the discovery by Essex Police. The woman was found unharmed.
On Sunday 16 October 3 males were arrested in Folkestone, Kent and a fourth man was arrested on Monday 17 October a man was arrested in Tottenham on suspicion of murder.
On Thursday 20 October three people appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court, Erdogan Ulcay(55), Ali Kavak (25) (05.08.97) and a 17-year-old boy have been charged with murder and with the kidnap of a woman.
A fourth man aged 55, was bailed pending further enquiries until mid-November.
Police have said following a post-mortem examination carried out on Monday, 16 October, it found Koray had died from severe trauma.
