Fundraiser set up to help Little Ela’s dreams

ELA Pilot Özüncü was diagnosed with thalassemia major and has been undergoing treatment (chemo, Bone marrow transplant) at St Marys Hospital over 2 months.

Little Ela, of Turkish Cypriot origin, born in London, is currently trying to recover at home under close supervision and constant monitoring. Ela had always dreamed of owning a puppy and a special trip with her family. To support Ela’s dreams, a charity campaign was started by her close family via GoFundMe.

So far nearly £4,000 has been donated so far for the campaign organized for morale purposes for the little warrior Ela.

In a statement made by Ela’s family to Londra Gazete, they said: “We would like to thank everyone who supported Ela on this journey. We wish Ela a speedy recovery. This has been tough for all of us because we can’t wait to see Ela at her best. We are extremely grateful for the continued support we receive from our family and friends. Realizing Ela’s dreams will be an extraordinary source of morale for her.”
