Man stabbed at Dalston Kingsland Overground station

A 38-year-old man was stabbed by an attacker who bumped into him when he came to a sudden stop on a busy London Overground platform.

The victim was walking down platform two at Dalston Kingsland Overground station shortly before 9pm on Saturday, September 24, when he made the sudden stop due to crowds that had built up ahead of him.

As he did so, a young man walked into the back of him.

A short while later, the young man is said to have approached the victim from behind and stabbed him in the abdomen, Scotland Yard said in a statement.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he received stitches. He has since been discharged.
