A man has been charged after a 12-year-old boy was stabbed in Newham.
Okan Boran, 35 was charged on Thursday, 1 September, with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place.
He appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 1 September.
A second man, aged in his 60s, was bailed until a date in late September pending further enquiries.
Police were called at 8.17 pm on Tuesday, 30 August to Brook’s Road, E13, following reports of a stabbing.
A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment; his injuries are not life-threatening.
Two men were arrested at the scene.
