Musician Cenk Sanlioglu released his single “Hummingbird”

Musician Cenk Sanlioglu released his single “Hummingbird” in which he uses a modified baritone guitar.

The guitar used in the instrumental piece “Hummingbird” is a baritone guitar, but since Şanlıoğlu has modified the guitar, the audience does not hear a sound that belongs to the baritone guitar. Sanlioglu, who put the strings of three different instruments on this guitar in groups of two, also changed the tuning system.

In Sanlioglu baritone guitar is attached to 3 different instruments strings on baritone guitar. At the same time, he changes the tuning system considering these strings’ physical speciality and characteristics.

Three years into the works he finally found the sounds he was seeking to produce his news single.

His baritone guitar met with the audience first time at music festivals in Netherlands and Belgium.  In recent years he played his baritone guitar for many album projects of Red Music in the UK.

Sanlioglu, who has been making music in various styles for 20 years, integrates music from different disciplines into his own music said, “It has always been a passion for me to blend the music of different geographies. On the baritone guitar, I tried to blend three different instruments. I am happy to be able to produce a sound range that I have wanted to hear for years. I always say to myself, ‘What we can do is limited by our imagination,’ and the timbre of the baritone guitar is the fruit of this sentence for me,” he says.

“Hummingbird” can now be found across music platforms.
