THE Atatürk Society UK (ASUK) will be celebrating May 19 the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day and it’s the 25th anniversary since its establishment on Saturday, May 21.
ASUK Chair Jale Özer made the following statement about the event: “We will celebrate together with our valued members and friends. In our 19th of May and 25th-anniversary protections, all the income of the night will be donated to ÇYDD for the sake of our great-grandfather Gazi Kemal Atatürk’s free life and free education in May. For this reason, support is very important by sharing our announcement in your groups and providing your preliminary preparations. Those who cannot attend one more night will be able to donate. We invite the lovers of the Republic together on the evening of May 21, to rekindle the spirit of May 19, to rekindle the colour scheme that exists as a nation, from London.”
Among the guests of the night, Prof Dr Ayşe Yüksel, ÇYDD President, Attorney Fatma Nur Gerçel, President of Turkish Life Foundation and Dilek Livaneli. In addition performances will also be given by Özgür Tandoğan Canyurt, Tuğba Özciyan and Benan/ Codalykia Music.
The event will be taking place on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 18.30- 22:00 at Amora Gusto, 94-95 Isabella Street, London SE1 8DA, near Southwark, Waterloo tube station.
