Limassol Association UK held their Annual General Meeting(AGM) on Saturday, March 26th, electing Arife Retvan to continue her leadership.
Having entered its twentieth year as an association that has been providing humanitarian support to the people of Cyprus, Turkey and other countries, as well as to schools, institutions, organizations and those in need of help in London for many years.
The AGM was carried out by the presidency of the Board of Directors, with the financial and activity reports presented to the members and approved.
Tevfik Zekai, Ülkü Demirel, Duygu Tağmaç, Zalihe Salih, Vedia Tatti, Hatice Arıoğlu, Havva Sensev, Biret Bekir and Kemal Soyer were all elected as onto the board of directors of the association, which will be chaired again by Arife Retvan. Retvan, who was re-elected as president with a majority of votes, stated that the division of duty would be determined at the first meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, President Retvan said: “First of all, we would like to thank the board of directors and our esteemed members are always with us, the value they have given us to the board of directors, and especially our members who stand by us in all circumstances. I assure you that our Association, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, will continue to work with great discipline and self-sacrifice, and will work with great devotion to be beneficial to humanity, as before, in social relations and troubles. We say continue with our friends, with whom we have decided to implement the new process in the most beneficial, productive and positive way. I believe there will be a period when there will be more and no less. As always, we will be in this period. And we are ready to serve together.”
