Day-Mer held it 21st Annual General Meeting

DAY-MER, known to be working in the Turkish community for 30 years and struggling against common problems with local and migrant workers living in England, held its 21st Annual General Meeting on Sunday, February 13.

Leaving its 32nd year of struggle behind, Day-Mer held its 21st AGM on Sunday, February 13, between 15.00-19.00, in the London Community Center hall. In the congress, the developments in the world and especially in England during the pandemic period, their effects on workers, laborers and immigrants, their problems and struggles, and the works carried out as Day-Mer were evaluated together with the members. Among the guests were Hasan Polat from Dersim-Der, Mustafa Sevran from Pazarcık People’s Association, Bülent Cem Ersoy from Kırkısraklılar Association, Helin Peköz from Migrant Workers Association (Gik-Der), Fırat Karaboyun and one representaive from England Alevi Cultural Center and Cemevi.

After the general activity reports for 2020-2022 were read, the elections were held. After the elections, Aslı Gül, Anıl Duman, Güllü Kuşçu, Ceren Sağır, Mehtap Gül, Metin Sağır, Çağdaş Canbolat, Elif Karabulut and Orhan Dil were elected to the board of directors to serve for two years.
