THE Atatürk World Platform (AWP) made a statement on the 29th anniversary of the death of Journalist Writer Uğur Mumcu.
Saying “Ugur Mumcu, whom we lost as a result of a bomb attack organized in front of his house on January 24, 1993, was murdered because he revealed the dirty imperialist games played on our country through his research and writings. “I am a Kemalist. I am a republican. I am secular. I am anti-imperialist. I am for a fully independent Turkey. I am a defender of human rights. I am against terrorism. I am the enemy of bigots, thieves, profiteers, profiteers. .Then hit, smash, from every part of me there will be people like me, even those who surpass me.” Uğur Mumcu said, years ago, he warned the Turkish people by documenting all the injustice and injustice that we are experiencing in our country today. We commemorate and seek with love, respect and longing Uğur Mumcu, who said that one can only move forward on the road to civilization by protecting Atatürk’s revolution and principles, on the 29th anniversary of his disappearance.
“Our martyrs of the revolution were the indomitable defenders of the secular, democratic state of law, Atatürk’s principles and revolutions, and a labor-based order. The dark forces will never achieve their goals as long as we keep these intellectuals who were murdered because they are an obstacle to the imperialist powers, and make our young people adopt the thoughts and principles for which they lost their lives. Kemalism is modernity, wisdom and scientific change. It is the guide of the future. Therefore, no matter what counter-revolutionaries do, the principles and revolutions of the Republic, Kemalist Thought will never die.”
