All UK travellers flying to the South of Cyprus will have to take a PCR test at the airport on arrival quarantine until they have a negative result from a test taken at an airport lab.
Travellers over the age of 12 will in addition be asked to carry out five lateral flow tests provided at the airport during their stay in Cyprus, regardless of their vaccination status.
The new rules, which took effect on Saturday, came in response to what the Republic of Cyprus’s health ministry described as Britain’s “drastic increase” in Omicron cases.
