An announcement made by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’s (TRNC) Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases, means new meaurses are in place for travellers entering the country.
In the statement traveller from 7 arriving from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe or who travelled to any one of these countries in the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter, with the exception of TNRC citizens who will need to carry out a 14 day quarantine at a state-monitored facility
They also announce any person without a booster jab will be classified as ‘non-vaccinated.
Saying: “Vaccinated persons arriving from abroad who have not recieved their booster shots will be allowed to enter the country. However such persons will be classified as non-vaccinated when entering venues or establishments that require a safe pass (Adapass).
“Only vaccinated persons will be allowed to attend New Year’s celebrations. The number of persons will be limited according to the size and capacity of hospitality venues. Non-vaccinated persons will not be allowed to attend such events.
“No New Year parties will take place at schools, offices or public offices this year.”
