Northern Cyprus and Turkey took their place at WTM

One of the world’s largest tourism fairs took place this week in London, the ‘World Travel Market (WTM) opened its doors to visitors at ExCeL London.

Taking their place at the 3-day event Turkey and The Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) a staple in the tourism section calendar this year WTM opened its doors once again after its virtual event held last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

North Cyprus welcomed visitors to the stand area with a specially constructed stand on an area of ​​approximately 70m2, meeting the entrance door in the European and Mediterranean hall of the fairground. Speaking to Londra Gazete North Cyprus Tourism Centre Coordinator Kadir Doruhan, expressed his satisfaction with the interest shown to the North Cyprus stand. Doruhan, underlined that the UK has been an important country with the highest number of tourists in foreign markets for years and underlined that the UK has great potential in terms of tourism. Adding that the UK market is very important for the TRNC, and their promotion efforts are continuing for the further growth of this market.

Making their presence felt with the Go Türkiye stand among European countries with a stand of 300 square meters and attracted a great deal of attention from the visitors. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy also attended the event on Tuesday 2 November, the second day of the event visiting stand holders.
