TRNC announces new covid measures for travellers

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)’s Higher Committee for Infectious diseases has announced the following decisions in line with the latest epidemiological situation.

The UK is currently on the country orange list, this means travellers from the UK “All recovered (Covid-19) or fully vaccinated passengers arriving from countries listed under the orange category will be exempt from quarantine provided they present a negative PCR test carried out in the last 72 hours.”

While “Unvaccinated passengers arriving from countries listed under the orange category will be required to present a negative PCR test carried out in the last 72 hours and will be required to spend five days in mandatory quarantine.”

The new measures now mean that “All unvaccinated persons will be tested for Covid-19 at entry.”

Since September 28th traveller entering the TRNC have also needed to complete a ‘Entry From’ before travelling and show all required documents when entering the country.
