The Atatürk Society UK (ASUK) will be celebrating the Republic Day this year with a reception in London on Friday, October 29th.
will celebrate the Republic event, which is traditionally held every year to celebrate the 29 October Republic Day, at Tas Ev restaurant on Friday, 29 October this year.
In a statement by ASUK they said: “As The Atatürk Society UK we are holding a Republic Day Reception in order to protect the secular, democratic and contemporary Republic of Turkey, whose 98th anniversary we will celebrate this year. Due to the pandemic, we ask all our guests to make a reservation in advance, and we recommend that you take a rapid antigen / lateral flow Covid-19 test before the event. If you feel any Covid-19 symptoms (cough, high fever, inability to smell or taste) before the event, please do not attend the event. Temperature will be taken at the entrance of the event. We recommend that you always make use of the hand disinfectants that will be available during the event.”
On the night hosted by Dilek Livaneli, Özgür Tandoğan Canyurt and Hoş Seda Turkish Classical Music Choir will performing.
