The Republic of Northern Cyprus’s (TRNC) new London Representative Çimen Keskin has come into the office.
Last week Keksin’s first official duty was visiting Turkey’s Ambassador to London Ümit Yalçın. The official Twitter page of the Turkish Embassy in London: “Ambassador Yalçın congratulated the newly appointed TRNC Representative Ambassador Çimen Keskin and expressed our support.”
Representative Keskin also attended the CTCA event for Asya Bebek on Sunday, 29 August, in Blackheath South London and met with Turkish Cypriots living in London.
The appointment of the Paphos-born representative, who previously served in Italy and Bahrain, was announced in February. Keskin, who is the mother of one, is fluent in Turkish, English and Italian.
Keskin took over from Oya Tuncalı, who left London at the end of July after completing her third term in England. Tuncalı, who first served as Consul General in England between 1998-2001, served as London Representative for two terms between 2012-2016 and again between 2018-2021.
