A Turkish immigrant, Eren Ozmen has been named on Forbes America’s Richest Self-Made Women list 2021.
With her net worth estimated to be $1.4billion, Ozmen is the chairwoman, president and majority owner of private aerospace and defence company Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is 20th on the list.
SNC’s Dream Chaser spacecraft is contracted by NASA for at least seven cargo missions to the International Space Station. As well as orchestrating 20 acquisitions and turned SNC into a multi-billion dollar contractor to the U.S. Department of Defense according to Forbes.
While in April 2021, SNC spun off its space capabilities, headlined by Dream Chaser, into a new commercial space company, Sierra Space.
